The Makita vacuum also includes an 8″ wide floor nozzle and a plastic holder to mount the Makita vacuum to the wall. If you don’t have compressed air, no worries- shaking it off will be just fine. Occasionally, I like to blow the filters off with the air gun to give them a deep clean. When I am in a rush I just tap them against the garbage can to clean them off. Once the debris has been dumped, you can shake the cloth filters to clean them off. In addition, If you want to reinstate the power loss you should clean your filter, which will allow the vacuum to breathe properly. You can add the 6” nozzle, or you can add the long extension and use the vacuum standing up Handheld Convenience You can use the tool as pictured which is very compact. The ability to remove or add the vacuum extension tube is a nice option. The LXT vacuum measures out at a compact 18 – 3/4″ long. Above all, the Makita 18V XLC02ZB had no problem sucking up the metal shavings. Next, I took it to the garage where I had some fresh metal shavings laying on the ground from drilling an automotive axle tube. I wasn’t confident that the little vacuum had the power to suck up heavy dirt, but the Makita cordless vacuum had no problem cleaning up this mess. Evidently, this was the perfect time for me to test out the Makita 18V cordless vacuum! The chunks of mud were dry but fairly thick.
